Dirt Retreat

Area Cost:
$100 ($90 for Mad FORCs members)
Cost includes four meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner
on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday - as well as free
camping on Friday and Saturday nights.
Attendance is limited to
maintain a low student to teacher ration but a few spots
still remain.

Form On Bike Clinics
The Women's Dirt Retreat covers all areas of mountain
bike skills. Basic areas that instructors will
cover include:
Singletrack
Climbing
Descending
Cornering
Downhills
Rocks and Roots
Logs and log piles
And more!
Off-Bike Clinics
During the time off your bike you will learn more about
maintaining your bike and how to improve your time in
the saddle. Our off-bike clinics include:
Bike Fit
Flat repair/maintenance
Stretching
Racing
Training
Social Activities
there will be plenty of time during the Dirt Retreat to
get to know your fellow riders and instructors. On
Saturday night we will have a campfire for roasting
marshmallows. Or maybe you'll want to join in on a
casual night ride (bring a light if you have one as only
limited demo lights will be available).
Door Prizes
At the Saturday night pasta dinner we will hold a raffle
of prizes from the Dirt Retreat's great sponsors.
Items from Williamson Bicycle and Fitness, A Stone's
Throw, Horny Toad and Planet Bike will be raffled off
with everyone winning something!
Camping and Food
Primitive camping is available on site for both Friday
and Saturday nights. No showers are available but
there are bathrooms, drinking water and shelter in case
of inclement weather.
Four meals (including
vegetarian fare) are included in your Dirt Retreat fee -
Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as Sunday
breakfast.

If you don't wish to camp on Friday or Saturday nights
several area hotels are within a 10-minute drive of
Blackhawk Ski Club.

The instructors at the Dirt Retreat are some of the top
women riders in the state as well as Alison Dunlap.
Directions
Madison is located in south central Wisconsin, off
interstate 90/94. Exit Hwy 12/18 west to Old Sauk
Road. From Old Sauk Road turn right on Pleasant
View and left on Blackhawk Rd. See
